1. Personal Information We Collect
The Operator collects the following information.
- When you sign in with Google OAuth: email address, Google display name, profile photo URL
- When you submit a photo: display name (optional), Instagram ID (optional), the photo file, camera and film details, a one-line note, and whether you consent to publication
- When you post a listing: listing title, price and description, item photos, trading area (optional), and contact details (entered by the member)
- When you make a paid purchase: payment approval information (order number, payment method type, approval time). Card numbers and other payment details are handled by the payment provider (PG); the Operator does not store them.
- When you verify a Smart Store purchase: the Smart Store order number you enter
- Likes and saves: identifiers of the photos, films and articles you like
- Collected automatically: access time, path through the site, referring domain, browser type, session identifier, language setting, time zone, time spent on pages, and IP address (in truncated form), stored temporarily in Supabase logs for security and traffic analysis
* When you tap "Show my location" on the Labs map, your browser shares your current position, but those coordinates are used only on your device to move the map. They are not sent to or stored on the Operator's servers, and we do not collect or keep location information separately.
2. Why We Use Personal Information
- Member authentication and identification (Google OAuth)
- Publishing photos submitted by members, including in the printed magazine
- Handling listing posts, viewing and reports
- Managing members' own collections such as likes and saves
- Content review by the Editors and handling of inappropriate posts
- Investigating and acting on violations of law or the Terms
- Editing content and improving the service using anonymized, minimized access statistics
3. How Long We Keep Personal Information
- Member accounts: until the member leaves. Photos and listings a member withdraws on their own page (/me.html) are deleted immediately.
- Approved photos: until the member deletes them, or, once printed in the magazine, until that issue goes out of publication.
- Listings: until the member deletes them or the Operator removes them for violating the Terms.
- Report data: kept for 1 year after handling (to deal with disputes and prevent repeat cases).
- Access and time-on-page logs: kept for up to 365 days by default, after which the Operator may delete them periodically. Where needed for security investigations or incident response, they may be kept for as long as necessary within the scope of the purpose and applicable law.
- Retention required by law: for the period the law requires (for example, under the Korean e-commerce act: display and advertising records 6 months; contract, withdrawal, payment and supply records 5 years; consumer complaint and dispute records 3 years).
4. Sharing with Third Parties
The Operator does not provide members' personal information to outside third parties, except in the following cases:
- When the member has agreed in advance
- When required by law or by investigative authorities (only with a legal basis such as a warrant or written request)
5. Outsourced Processing
The Operator outsources some processing needed to run the service.
- Supabase Inc. (USA): member authentication, database and file storage (photos and listing images)
- Google LLC (USA): OAuth authentication
- Netlify Inc. (USA): site hosting and CDN
- Payment provider (PG): electronic payment processing for paid purchases
- NAVER Corp.: Smart Store order checks (when verifying an order number)
These providers process personal information securely under their agreements with the Operator and applicable law, and the Operator regularly checks that they meet their obligations.
6. Your Rights
Members may exercise the following rights at any time.
- Access: see the photos, listings, likes and saves you have submitted on your member page (/me.html)
- Correction: edit photo metadata, listing details and more yourself on your member page
- Deletion: delete photos, listings, likes and saves one by one on your member page. To close your account, email 4rest_design@naver.com.
- Suspension and objection: you can ask us to stop processing at the same email address
7. Security Measures
- All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
- With Supabase Row Level Security (RLS), only you can view and edit your member data.
- Raw access statistics are never published, and only accounts with Editor permissions can see the summary screens.
- Referral information is minimized and stored at the domain level, not as full URLs.
- We do not store passwords. Authentication is based on Google OAuth tokens.
- Only accounts given separate Editor permissions can access editorial tools, and their activity is logged.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
- We use browser storage to keep you signed in (localStorage), remember your theme, save form drafts (sessionStorage) and tell visit sessions apart (sessionStorage).
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- You can delete cookies and storage at any time in your browser settings.
